Description

From my experience, people are so used to just copy the result files to their local machine and start looking at them with various tools, instead of using the really nice and helpful "HRM image preview" functionality - even though the link to the preview is contained in the notification email about the finished job.
I'd really like to see a more remarkable hint to use the detailed preview in the so-called "file manager" - most of the people I've seen just click on the filename and have a short look on the thumbnail appearing on the right side. I'm pretty sure most of them just have never noticed there is such a useful presentation of the processing results.

Again, the original feature request on sourceforge was coming from me.

Daniel fixed enlarged the size of the link for the 3.0.3 release in commit hrmdev:commit:8fc61f9

On top of the changes already in 3.0.3 I changed the text a bit in commit hrmdev:commit:13d7d6e trying to get more attention from the user.

Feedback is welcome! I think it's very useful for newbie users, but if you don't like the longer text, I'm happy to revert the commit.

This could be included in the 3.1.0 release as well... If no one is complaining, I will cherry-pick this commit.

#5 Updated by Niko about 6 years ago

  • Status changed from Wait For Feedback to Closed
  • Target version changed from 3.2.0 to 3.1.0

Cherry-picked hrmdev:commit:13d7d6ee into the 3.1.0 branch, being hrmdev:commit:58a26005 there. Closing the issue as it is merged into the next release now.
